Streams of Hope (SOH), a youth-led organization dedicated to improving access to clean water in underserved communities, joined forces with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia to distribute water filters across four villages in Mauk, Tangerang: Desa Mauk Barat, Desa Tanjung Anom, Desa Marga Mulya, and Desa Kedung Dalem. As part of this initiative, 20 filters were provided to local schools and public facilities, ensuring that students and community members have consistent access to clean drinking water.

The program not only focused on distributing the filters but also included a series of hands-on workshops designed to educate community members on how to use and maintain the filters effectively. Through these sessions, participants learned about the importance of clean water for health, the technical aspects of the filters, and how to implement proper sanitation practices at home.

These efforts are part of a larger commitment by Streams of Hope to address the critical need for clean water in rural and underserved areas of Indonesia. By equipping communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain water quality, the organization aims to create lasting change and contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.

Through this program, Streams of Hope and Habitat for Humanity Indonesia hope to reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases and alleviate the financial burden of purchasing clean water. With better access to clean water, families in these four villages can now focus on other essential needs, such as education and economic development.

As Streams of Hope continues its mission to expand access to clean water, the organization plans to replicate this successful model in other regions of Indonesia, empowering more communities to take control of their water quality and overall well-being.
