On August 18, 2024, the Streams of Hope team embarked on a transformative journey to Desa Plandaan, Jombang, with one clear mission: to provide access to clean water for the community. Over the course of the day, we visited 13 key locations, including Masjid As-Shidiq, Masjid As-Shofa’, Masjid An-Nur, Masjid Nurul Iman, Gereja Pantekosta di Indonesia, the village hall, the health centre, and multiple schools and prayer halls. We donated more than 15 water filters at each stop, bringing safe, clean water to over 2,500 residents.
This event was about more than just delivering water filters—it was about building connections and engaging with the community. The warmth and excitement from the residents, especially the students, left a lasting impression on our team. Their faces lit up as we played games together, and we were honoured to sit down with many of them for interviews, hearing their thoughts on water scarcity and what our contribution meant for their future. These conversations served as a poignant reminder of the difference we’re striving to make.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Wonokoyo Goldstar, SLE Foundation, Cleo Water, and Bailey Hartanto for making this event possible. Donated by Cleo, we provided the best quality drinking water to everyone involved, adding to the sense of community and collaboration that defined the day.
At Streams of Hope, our mission goes beyond clean water. We aim to empower communities through access to essential resources, renewable energy, and education for a sustainable future. The stories, smiles, and shared moments in Desa Plandaan reaffirmed our dedication to this cause and solidified our commitment to long-term change.
